How long do we have until the Revive servers shut down, if they shut down at all? Other than the website updates, the Revive team has been mostly quiet on the situation. Revive had been providing the game files and using Battlefield trademarks on their sites for a long while before this notice was sent. Although I'd love to bash on EA just as much as the next guy, common sense tells me some focus must be put on the Revive team as well. EA did send a notice to Revive a notice to stop distributing their game client and use their trademarks ( which can be found here,) but the notice does not seem to explicitly state Revive must stop all together. To be frank, not everyone agrees with the reasons as to why exactly it is shutting down. However, the future of these two games under Revive is in jeopardy given what they have said so far. As of writing this, the Revive forums are inaccessible and the original Revive discord has been fully shut down* (Although they have created a new Discord, it appears to be Minecraft focused in step with their shift of focus.) It is my current understanding that while Battlefield: Heroes is completely inaccessible at the moment, Battlefield are still accessible and working as they have been before. On October 26th, the Revive team announced their intentions to indefinitely shut down its Battlefield related activities after three and a half years of operation. About a little more than a week ago, Revive disabled all downloads for their launcher and other resources on their website.
